Golden Axe was one of my favorite arcade games of all time. This (adapted to Android from the Genesis port) *could* be a great game and nostalgia fix, except that the "joypad" control is almost impossible to use accurately. The player character moves so slowly across the screen in response to the controls that it's an exercise in frustration to do much of anything except basic attack moves. The bonus scene sprites are too fast to ever catch, and the mounts are virtually unusable.

Seriously, fix the controls. I played for maybe 5 minutes then gave up on it. The original arcade game was definitely hard but this emulation makes it nearly impossible to do anything. You try to dash attack, you get smacked down. You try to get close to do a normal attack, you get smacked down. You try to do a jump attack, you get smacked down. Chasing the gnomes to get potions? Good luck.

Controls are terrible! They make the game not fun for me and I love golden axe 1 & 2 on Sega Genesis. This mobile version should not have replicated the original controls, instead make them better. You need to be able to move around freely. I could only play half as well on this version. I fall off cliffs, can't jump kick and hard to get the potion guys. I could not beat the first game after two tries. This game stresses me out. I am going to delete it without playing the other ones. Fix & lmk.
